1. Agreement overview

By visiting or using any feature of LyricFinder.net (the "Service"), you enter into a binding agreement governed by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The agreement covers every page, tool, and API endpoint we make available. We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time; substantive modifications will be flagged through a notice on the Service. Your continued use after publication of a revised version will be treated as acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Key definitions

Throughout this document, unless the context demands otherwise:

  • "Agreement" — these Terms together with all referenced policies, schedules, and amendments;
  • "Content" — any text, imagery, audio reference, data compilation, or software made available through the Service;
  • "Intellectual Property Rights" — patents, copyrights, trade marks, design rights, database rights, trade secrets, and all equivalent protections worldwide;
  • "Lyric Search" — the primary feature enabling users to identify songs from partial or complete lyric fragments;
  • "Service" — the Lyric Search and every ancillary tool, page, or function hosted under LyricFinder.net;
  • "User", "you", "your" — any natural person or legal entity accessing or interacting with the Service;
  • "User Content" — any material submitted to the Service by a User, including corrections, comments, or feedback.

Headings are provided for navigation only and carry no interpretive weight. The word "including" means "including, without limitation". Singular terms embrace the plural and vice versa.

3. What we offer

3.1 Core functionality

Lyric Finder enables you to enter remembered words from a song and receive a ranked list of probable matches, complete with artist attribution, album context, and onward links to licensed streaming services.

3.2 Third-party references

The Service surfaces links to external platforms such as music stores, streaming applications, and artist homepages. These references are offered purely for convenience; we exercise no editorial control over third-party destinations and accept no liability for their content, availability, or practices.

4. Privacy commitment

The handling of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of this Agreement. By using the Service you consent to the collection, processing, and disclosure practices described in that document.

5. Licence grant

Subject to full compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for private, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not extend to any right to sublicense, resell, or systematically reproduce any portion of the platform or its underlying data.

6. Eligibility & age

The Service is intended for users aged 16 or older. Access by anyone under the age of 13 is strictly prohibited. If you permit a minor between 13 and 15 to use the platform under your supervision, you accept full responsibility for their activity and agree to these Terms on their behalf.

7. Acceptable conduct

You agree to refrain from:

  • Employing the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation;
  • Undermining the security, integrity, or availability of our infrastructure;
  • Reproducing, mirroring, scraping, or bulk-downloading any part of the Service or its content;
  • Injecting malicious code, scripts, or payloads into any request or submission;
  • Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data for which you hold no authorisation;
  • Harvesting lyric content for the purpose of building or augmenting a competing product.

8. Intellectual property & copyright

8.1 Platform ownership

All original elements of the Service—including its design, code, algorithms, logos, and editorial text—are and shall remain the exclusive property of Lyric Finder and its licensors, protected by UK and international intellectual-property statutes.

8.2 Lyric copyright

Song lyrics surfaced through the Service belong to their respective rights holders: songwriters, composers, publishers, and labels. Lyric Finder does not assert ownership over any third-party musical work.

8.3 Infringement reporting

If you believe material available through the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a detailed notice via our Contact page. Include a description of the protected work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a declaration of accuracy.

9. User submissions

By submitting any content—corrections, feedback, or other material—you grant Lyric Finder a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that content in connection with the operation and promotion of the Service.

10. Warranty disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LyricFinder.Net makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, the accuracy of search results, the completeness of any lyric database, or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyric Finder, its directors, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service—including lost revenue, data loss, business interruption, or reliance on inaccurate lyric information.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lyric Finder and its personnel from and against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right.

13. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or permanently revoke your access without prior notice if you violate these Terms, if we are compelled by legal process, or if we detect conduct that threatens the security or reputation of the platform. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement cease immediately.

14. Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising from or connected with these Terms shall first be pursued through good-faith negotiation. If no resolution is reached within thirty days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of England and Wales.

15. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this Agreement limits any consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded.

16. General provisions

If any clause of these Terms is found to be unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision at a given time does not constitute a waiver of that right. This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, represents the entire understanding between you and Lyric Finder regarding your use of the Service.
